LOOPLAB co-CEO Seongjun Hyun was featured as the third guest in Seoul Pi Cityfolio's interview series, Players Who Make Hot Places: CEOs Born in the '90s.
The interview follows his path from introducing neighborhoods to travelers (Like a Local, Bolocally) to building a TikTok marketing company.
What the interview covers
- What LOOPLAB does — a TikTok-specialized full-service agency. Goals are set as actions (purchase, sign-up, visit), not views.
- New creators for every campaign — instead of a fixed roster, our in-house system Looping finds the right creators with data.
- Measuring with "Action Rate" — saves and shares combined. In the Snickers & Twix ice bar campaign, a video with less than half the views had an 8x higher save rate.
- Different by country — the Toss travel card campaign ran with 28 Taiwanese creators; for NICE Tax Free, TikTok for Japan and Taiwan, Xiaohongshu for China.
- Hot places and social media — "Social media grows what's already there. It doesn't create what isn't."
